We have an exciting opportunity for someone seeking to join a fast-paced and innovative organisation. We’re looking for a creative, results-driven and hands-on PR and Communications Manager to join the Polestar UK team. This is a key role reporting into the UK Head of PR and Communications, where you’ll be responsible for the day to day running o the Polestar UK press office, taking the lead on and supporting with delivering key PR campaigns, communications and activities in the UK. This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys collaboration, working with others as well as someone who can embrace and adapt to change.

What you’ll do

General day to day running of the UK Press office to include, but not limited to:

  • Deliver integrated PR campaigns and activities against business objectives, inclusive of global campaigns, events, partnerships and local activities.
  • Work with the UK Head of PR to create clear and strategic content, campaign and event briefs, working with agency partners to deliver them to UK and global media while ensuring they adhere to brand guidelines.
  • Write UK market press releases, manage the press release calendar and distribution to local market media site, newswire and relevant media.
  • Manage local photo and video-shoots delivering results adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Manage the UK press fleet, working with the Polestar UK and agency team to deliver an experience in line with the brand’s positioning.
  • Assist the UK Head of PR to deliver against quarterly and annual ASP budgets and lead the PO management for the department.
  • Continuously review media monitoring results for the UK market and identify gaps and opportunity for improvement in media engagement and KPI achievement.
  • Lead internal communications and PR reporting within Polestar UK
  • Assist the UK Head of PR in managing internal stakeholders in the UK and globally.
  • Support UK Spaces with PR campaigns and activities when opening and operational.
  • Work with the UK Head of PR to continue strengthening media relations.
  • Actively manage the day-to-day activities of agency partners for all areas of PR and communications.
  • Work closely with marketing and others in UK management team to support any activities requiring PR and Communications input.

You and your skills

  • Passionate and enthusiastic about sustainability and electric cars.
  • Proven experience working in PR or journalism, but not necessarily automotive.
  • Demonstrable experience in the execution and detailed performance analysis of marketing campaigns versus KPIs and ability to optimise performance to drive stronger conversion metrics.
  • Proven experience creating and reviewing content, press information, campaigns and events.
  • Desire to test new ideas and approaches and deliver best practice case studies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills: a collaborative ethos with a can-do attitude and ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships.
  • Excellent written, numerical and verbal communication skills.
