Events & Training

MICA members at all levels have equal access to our range of courses and masterclasses, developed specifically for motor industry communicators. Addressing the big questions faced by our profession as the commercial, technology and media landscapes evolve, MICA’s  courses also provide an unbeatable opportunity to meet and get to know fellow automotive industry communicators.

MICA works in partnership with Guild of Motoring Writers and Coventry University and uses the experience and contacts of our members to organise valuable training and events.  Our association with the world’s largest association of PR professionals also allows us to offer MICA members a 10% discount on all PRCA professional training courses.

“The first MICA event that I attended was a Masterclass entitled ‘From TV to TikTok’ and I really enjoyed it! I found the speaker line-up really exciting, but it was the face-to-face networking which was the most useful. It lead to other opportunities which I’m very grateful for.”

Accelerating development with
MICA membership

Training and mentoring are at the heart of membership to the Motor Industry Communicators Association (MICA). We spoke to PitBox91 account executive Jordan Harvey about how he’s accelerated his development since becoming a member.

Jordan (below) said: “My colleagues and I at PitBox91 recognise the value of engaging with the wider automotive industry. Across the team, we have attended more than ten PRCA courses (with a 10% discount for MICA members) already this year on a range of topics from pitching to building digital PR strategies.

“PRCA training and MICA’s range of workshops have been the perfect complement to my personal development. Over the last two years, membership has enabled me to take part in events at the McLaren Technology Centre, Silverstone and Coventry University, each with valuable learnings, whether that’s the changing landscape of PR, social media, or account management.

“Each PitBox91 colleague has a personalised training plan, and these MICA and PRCA courses form the backbone of the structure. In a time where networking opportunities are valuable, it’s always a fantastic opportunity to catch up with colleagues from across the industry.

“Whether you’re in-house or at an agency, I’d recommend considering MICA membership to any automotive communicator!”
