Oliver Rowe

Oliver Rowe (Chair) has been in the Ford press office since 1999, joining from local newspapers.  Before training as a journalist, he worked in France and Germany for the former Rover / Land Rover group in parts and distribution.  The Ford press office brings together both specialisms – communications and languages within automotive. Liz Turner

Liz Turner (General Secretary) enjoyed 25 years as a motoring journalist, including four in Ann Arbor near Detroit. She was on the staff at What Car? and Autocar and freelanced for print and digital motoring and women’s media. This included writing regularly for The Telegraph and The Sun in the UK and the New York Post in the US. She then moved over to PR and communications, working for JLR, Groupe Renault and Ford of Europe. She is currently Communications and Engagement Lead for a large IT infrastructure programme within the Home Office Police and Public Protection Technology Portfolio. Contact Liz via LinkedIn.

Richard Gotch

Richard Gotch (Managing Director) specialises in communications, PR and marketing strategy for specialist vehicle manufacturers, innovation companies and First Tier technology suppliers. Over more than 30 years in the automotive sector, his clients have included McKinsey & Co, Ferrari, Alpina BMW, 3M, Caterpillar, Delphi, Prodrive, Millbrook and Vulcan to the Sky Trust, with many retained for more than a decade. Richard Gadeselli

Richard Gadeselli (Director) began his career as a journalist on automotive trade titles, becoming Chairman of the Guild of Motoring Writers. After moving into PR with FIAT, he rose rapidly to become Senior Vice President Communications for FIAT Group, based in Turin. A move into CNH Industrial extended his experience into off-highway vehicles. Now an independent consultant retired from corporate life, Richard continues to have an eye for stylish Italian cars of all ages, several of which find their way into his garage. Mark Harrison

Mark Harrison (Director) helped found MICA in 2021 as the inaugural Chairman and through his automotive management consultancy is currently the contracted Managing Director of Czech car company Praga Cars. He continues to advise established automotive suppliers including Imprimatur and Wattif EV on communications strategy having spent the majority of his automotive career in senior PR roles at BMW and McLaren Automotive. Roger Ormisher

Roger Ormisher (US and mentoring lead) heads up communications for McLaren Automotive in the Americas. He has previously worked at major vehicle manufacturers in Europe and Asia in PR, Marketing and Experiential roles in his 30 + years in the industry. Contact Roger via LinkedIn.

Mike Orford

Mike Orford (Events) is head of communications and PR at Volkswagen UK and a past chairman of the Motor Industry Public Affairs Association. Previously head of PR at Porsche GB and prior to that at SEAT UK, Mike is a passionate enthusiast for emotionally engaging cars of all types. Euan Antona

Euan Antona (Training) has always had a keen interest in cars and the motoring industry. He trained as a journalist before embarking on a career in PR. Jamie Fretwell

Jamie Fretwell (Communications) is a storytelling trucker and award-winning automotive communicator. A trained journalist, Jamie graduated from Bournemouth University and worked for five years at Auto Express, writing the Products section of Britain’s biggest weekly car magazine, before moving into the world of PR. He spent four years handling media relations and communications for the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association before joining Mercedes-Benz Trucks UK. He has since obtained both truck licenses, been promoted, and now leads on external relations, corporate communications and media relations. James Bailey

James Bailey has over 30 years of automotive management and communications experience, including managing the Dunlop Motorsport business and an international stint as Goodyear EMEA Communications Director. He is now a director of PitBox91, a specialist automotive PR, social media and events agency with clients in the car, truck, motorsport and motorcycle industries.
