Now that motor shows at Earl’s Court and then ExCel are no more, London Concours must be the capital’s largest central car show.

MICA was invited by Concours organisers Thorough Events to the three-day themed display, reflecting classes including American muscle cars, hypercars, Porsche and Alfa Romeo sections – plus a ‘wildcard’ selection featuring an eclectic mix including Sunbeam, Citroën and Chevrolet.

MICA members and invited guests met at the biggest automotive garden party for the event’s launches, networking and entertainment.

Boreham Autoworks launched the first new Ford Escort RS in 50 years on the Concours venue’s immaculate five-acre grounds on City Road.

Inside we joined journalists Jonny Smith and Richard Porter for a live performance of their ‘Smith and Sniff’ show, full of automotive props, deliberate mispronunciations (“Traaaansit”) and mickey taking of the audience in the room and many distinctive characters roving the Concours.

Thanks to Thorough Events, Influence Associates and those making up the MICA party taking in the London Concours’ heady cocktail of rare cars and exclusive company.
