Must-attend 2024 diary date of January 18 announced to MICA members and supporters

The Association is delighted to benefit from McLaren as a founder member with this behind-the-scenes invitation

HQ tour to follow briefings on the McLaren Automotive business and communications’ leading role in growing the road car division

MICA will make a fast start to 2024 with an exclusive, behind the scenes visit to McLaren HQ in Woking.

As a founder member of MICA, McLaren has celebrated its 60th anniversary this year by unveiling the lightest and most powerful production McLaren, the 750S.

On January 18 Piers Scott, executive PR director of McLaren Automotive, will welcome MICA guests and provide an event keynote on the business and communications strategies which have underpinned its performance-led success.

MICA director, and former McLaren Automotive PR director, Mark Harrison will be joined by Kyle Fortune, who has published ‘The Road Cars, 2010-2024′, and film maker Stephen Mizelas who has documented the company’s growth to add further perspectives.

Presentations and Q&A at McLaren HQ in Woking, Surrey, will be from 1130, followed by lunch and tours of the Boulevard race car display, McLaren Production Centre hand assembly and other areas not normally shown to visitors.

Following this one-off immersion into McLaren communications, brand and customer experience positioning and future aspirations, guests will depart at around 4pm.

To reserve their free places, MICA members should mail info@mica.org.uk and can bring one non-member guest.  Once all members have RSVPed, non-member places will be made available at £80 here as a contribution to MICA.  MICA professional membership costs £150 for one year’s free access to all training, other events and social gatherings – making joining and bringing a guest to McLaren the more cost-effective option.

MICA membership packages are at www.mica.org.uk.
