NEXT EVENT

Your industry communicators association will run a 2024 autumn Masterclass to clarify the many issues and viewpoints currently shaping the UK’s EV landscape. MICA’s EV Masterclass in October will help navigate the communications battleground.

The masterclass’s aim is to develop a broader understanding of the entire EV ecosystem beyond your brand’s role. The benefit will be to use this insight for more informed communications, to help manage the current noise and disinformation, and rise above the tribal nature of debate.

On October 2, the case for EVs versus other powertrain technologies will first be laid out, highlighting the significant communications challenges, stemming from unpredictable market dynamics preventing consistent messaging to increasingly confused customers.

Hosted at the Advanced Propulsion Centre’s HQ in Coventry, attendees will hear the APC’s Prof Dave Greenwood and Emissions Analytics’ Nick Molden set the scene with contrary views on the ideal vehicle propulsion solutions.

Having defined the technological options and resulting communications imperatives, Polestar and AutoTrader will add all-important vehicle manufacturer and consumer views on the EV transition.

The masterclass’s informative agenda, running from 0930 to 1530, will include Q&As, networking opportunities and a behind-the-scenes tour of the University of Warwick’s automotive innovation projects influencing the UK’s EV roll out and adoption.
